The Decision to Join an IoPT Training

Committing to IoPT training is a commitment to yourself. The processes involved in the practical work can be an intense emotional experience, and it is important to have sufficient resources in place and allow for periods of rest between modules, during which personal work can be integrated.

Becoming an IoPT Practitioner

With the development of IoPT, Dr. Prof. Franz Ruppert has broken down the very complex dynamics of trauma and its effect on the human psyche into a simple, clear theory that enables one to easily understand trauma.

At the same time, both trauma and IoPT theory are complex and multi-layered. It takes a good few years working with the theory, the method and one's own psyche to gain a good understanding of self-encounters and the psychological aspects that are revealed in them.

IoPT therapists and practitioners bear a serious responsibility in their work with traumatized people.
The competence of the IoPT practitioner develops hand in hand with one's own personal work and a dedication to understanding what trauma is and how it alters the psyche. Facilitating self-encounters is an art of its own and requires a great deal of clarity and sensitivity on the part of the practitioner, These are qualities that develop slowly over a period of years, Depending on your previous experience, it is therefore advisable to allow yourself at least two years of intensive work and exposure to the theory and method before setting up practice.

My Work with IoPT

My understanding of IoPT theory and the Intention Method has grown intrinsically over the years through my personal work and my work with clients. This, paired with nearly 6 consecutive years of intensive study spent in IoPT trainings with some of the most experienced IoPT professionals, is the foundation from which my training is offered.

My work with the theory and method follows the logic and integrity of IoPT itself. In my groups, I share my passion for the work with those to whom it speaks as a tool for developing one's autonomy, exploring and gaining clarity about one's own identity, stepping out of perpetrator-victim dynamics, and for living as the unique human being one truly is.

My courses are based on Franz Ruppert's eight module training and the materials from the trainings held at his Institute for Further Education and Training/Practice for Psychotherapy.
